"Ghouls, Goblins, & Groceries"
On October 31, the historic neighborhood around the First Presbyterian Church fills with princesses, cowboys, warriors, goblins of various sorts, and a multitude of other characters not normally found in the area. More importantly, the neighborhood is filled with the happy sounds of children going door to door trick or treating. It is All Saints Eve (Halloween) and the ghouls and goblins are out and about.
We turned that night into an event for VISTO which we call "Ghouls, Goblins, & Groceries" That night is an opportunity for trick or treaters to come to the church beginning at 5:30 p.m. to receive candy and donate food for VISTO while they receive their treats. The children receive their candy and at the same time it is also a chance to give to a very worthwhile organization. Please bring canned food or monetary donations for VISTO.
