Welcome to the First Presbyterian Church U.S.A. in Gainesville! We are happy that you are interested in our church. Each Sunday morning, we have:
10:30 AM Morning Worship, and 11:30 AM Fellowship. A nursery is provided for parents who prefer to have their infants or toddlers cared for during worship. We are located at 401 S. Denton Street,
Gainesville, Texas.

"Please join us on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church when Dr. Vivian Thomlinson will bring our message, based on Luke 15:11-32, the Parable of the Prodigal Son. The story of the wastrel younger son who defiantly asks his father for his inheritance early and then goes on to the big city and squanders it on women, drink, and sin is one of the best known of Jesus's teaching stories, or parables. But what makes THIS parable so profound is the extravagant joy, love, and forgiveness with which the wronged father welcomes his errant son back home. The father is willing to forgive all his younger son's sins and shame and to welcome him with open arms, just as God forgives us when we turn from our wayward path and return home to him."
